LEI code publishing and management system

New LEI application

Hungarian registered entities without LEI code, can request the LEI code directly or through a representative organization.

Application  process:

  • Registration: The request of the LEI code is preceded by a registration of the LEI owner or its representative client, which means the joint creation of an organization (client representing in the LEI system) and its user.

  • After registration, a request for a new LEI code can be initiated in the system.

  • Mandatory fields are marked with a star in the system.

  • During the application, details of the LEI code owner organization, have to be provided first,

    • then have to be provided the ownership structure,

    • and finally, the required documents have to be attached and uploaded.

  • The application is subject to fees.

  • After successful payment of the fee and finalization of the order, the data will be checked by KELER, as a positive result of which the LEI code will be issued and published.

 

LEI code renewal

The LEI code is valid for 1 year, after its status changes to LAPSED.

Renewal process:

  • Login to a registered user account.

  • Select the relevant LEI code from the renewable LEI codes.

  • LEI code renewal can be started after checking the stored data.

  • Mandatory fields are marked with a star in the system.

  • The application is subject to fees.

  • After successful payment of the fee and finalization of the order, the data will be checked by KELER, as a positive result of the LEI code validity will be extended for one more year.

 

LEI code transfer

Request for transfer of LEI code managed by another LOU to KELER.

  • Login to a registered user account.

  • After login, transfer request can be initiated in the system.

  • Mandatory fields are marked with a star in the system.

  • Review data of the entered LEI code.

  • The application is subject to fees, if it goes with renewal.

  • After finalization of the order, the data will be checked by KELER, as a positive result of the LEI code validity, it will be supervised by KELER and its validity will be extended for one more year.
